On another note, voting isn't just about the Presidential election. Hell, I voted Nader in the last 3, knowing full well he had no shot. But he was the guy I wanted, and I expressed myself with my civic right and duty and felt damn good about it.

But there are also local elections for governor, senate, Congress, local legislative races, hell....even dog catcher. So even if you don't think your vote will count in the big race, or you don't like the choices, there's bound to be an influence you can have more directly closer to home in your own state or community.

Seems that's as good a reason as any to get out and vote.

as for the Dead contacting you w/a not so subtle hint to vote Obama, I agree that's annoying as hell. And I'm voting Obama.

Good man. It'll take another 50 years, long after he's dead, but people will realize just how much he's given this country and how great he actually would have been as a President not beholden to every damn special interest parasite who crawls thru Washington.

I don't like Nader as President, except in certain states, but he'd be great in the Cabinet. He'd really know which buttons to push in Justice, Commerce, EPA, Health, or others.

Yep, that's what I was getting at above; always good (bad!) propositions to shoot down, incumbents to upset, and AENewmann to write in for pres.

I actually wrote in "Bozo the Clown" for my local mayoral race b/c the incumbent is a moron and he ran unopposed until a last minute write in candidacy by another fool. I'm hoping to see lone (?) write in vote for Bozo published in the official results.
